I'm a professional commercial photographer with 28 years experience, with bases in both Oswestry, Shropshire, and London. I cover a wide area, working across the West Midlands, North West, and North Wales, with clients in London, Manchester, Liverpool, and Birmingham.

My passion for photography and film began early, which led me to pursue a degree in Photography. After graduating, I secured a position as a staff photographer at the renowned London-based photo agency Camera Press, where I cut my teeth in newspaper and magazine photography. It was the perfect role for someone with broad interests like mine. One day I could be photographing portraits, architecture, or events, and the next, it could be conferences, politics, food, products, fashion, lifestyle, or even Royalty. The variety was immense, but everything had to be of magazine quality. I eventually became the Chief Photographer, a position I held for eight years, during which I had the privilege of seeing my work featured on the front pages of national newspapers numerous times.

In 2008, I decided to go freelance, moving with my young family to Oswestry, Shropshire. From here, I began working with a wide range of companies and organisations. What I truly enjoy is working closely with my clients, understanding what they want to achieve, and going the extra mile to deliver the very best results. I approach each project with a genuine desire to tell their story and showcase the quality of their work.

My wide-ranging skills mean that whatever the project, I have the experience and know-how to produce results that are not only magazine quality but also speak directly to the target audience. I’ve always been someone who gets along well with people from all walks of life, and I must admit, I’m a bit of a nosy parker! But this curiosity, coupled with my fascination for people’s journeys and their roles in different organisations, allows me to really understand what matters to them and weave that into my photography.

Whether it’s creating portraits that capture something unique about the subject or working through large events and conferences with all their varied personalities, I have the knack for making everyone feel at ease, ensuring I get the best possible images. This approach has helped me build long-lasting relationships with both large and small clients, creating consistency in their visual communication and helping them engage with their key audiences.
