Soweto Kinch who plays Pastor Toussaint Boothe in the BBC Radio Drama 'Jesus Piece'.

A radio drama of a different nature is also being developed and recorded in Birmingham during the Spring. Jesus Piece, written by Sarah Chukwudebe, is set in Birmingham; the storyline explores a former gang member and ex-con who reforms after finding religion, before being accused of murder. Playing the lead role is two-time MOBO award winner, jazz and hip-hop talent Soweto Kinch.

Supported by our Radio 4 Drama team in Birmingham, the radio series has been recorded throughout March and is expected to air in late in the Spring on BBC Local Radio.
